When the weather gets colder, I love to layer and pile on the accessories in my outfits. One of my favorite accessories to wear is a scarf. There are so many ways to wear scarves and so many patterns and textures to play with. Here are some of my favorite styles and ways to wear scarves.
The “Rocket Scientist” Scarf
This style is not rocket science, but it looks like it! Fool everyone into thinking you’re the accessory master with this intricate tie. Evelina demonstrates this technique, which she calls “Casual Swing” so well in her video “Scarf Tying in Ten Ways.”
The “I’m Too Cold For This” Scarf
This is for all of you that want to be toasty warm and cozy throughout the cold winter days. I always feel like I’m in bed when I wear this. It’s the blanket scarf. There are so many ways to wear this style and it’s super convenient when you’re out and freezing cold because you have an actual blanket around your neck! I always end up taking it off and wrapping it around my shoulders or laying it across my legs. It’s life-changing.
The “Traditional” Scarf
This is a super chic and trendy scarf style and it’s been around since the beginning of scarves. Just resting a scarf around your shoulders — not tied or wrapped — is a super easy way to add something interesting to your outfit. It can also help to make an outfit more casual or edgy. The laid-back feel of this style is sure to make a statement.
The “Barely There” Scarf
Thin scarves have come in and out of style for years now. From casual bohemian to sophisticated business, there are so many looks that can accommodate a thin scarf. I like to wear super long scarves with dressy outfits to really pull the look together.
